Welcome to Pack 3643 - "The Place to Be!"

Cub Scout Pack 3643 welcomes all kindergarten through fifth grade boys from Simi Valley, California. Currently we have approximately 35 boys, organized into Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, fourth grader Webelos, and fifth grader Webelos dens.

Most boys meet at least once a month with their den. Our pack meetings are once a month on the first Friday night (unless otherwise announced) at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church plus additional monthly pack events.

At the pack meetings all the dens get together for awards, skits, songs and a fun time. We also do lots of other fun activities, such as beach day, family camping, good turns, Pinewood Derby, and lots more.

If you want more information, please contact the Cubmaster at akela@simivalley3643.mypack.us and feel free to join us at one of our meetings... visitors and new boys are always welcome!

Come join us at Pack 3643 - "The Place to Be!"

Cubmaster
---------
I became involved in Scouting in 2015 when my son entered First grade. I initially volunteered because I wanted to build and strengthen our relationship, I quickly became a leader and the rest is history.

I just recently assumed the role as Cubmaster and it is my personal goal to create a safe, fun and educational program for all of our Scouts.

I am 35 years old and have lived in Simi Valley for most of my life. My wife and I have been married for 10 years and my youngest participates in Girl Scouts.

I am a prior service member and I have been in law enforcement for the last 11 years.

I take pride in serving my country, my community and doing the best I can to mentor everyone involved in our program.

I have been involved in scouting throughout most of my life. I started as a Wolf "2nd grade" with pack 3643. Made life in Boyscouts troop 618. Continued as a camp counselor, shooting sports director with camp Three Fall Ventura County counsel for seven consecutive years. I was away from scouting for only about 10 years and started my first son as soon as I could with pack 3643 in a tiger den. I scouting knowledge was quickly identified and I was asked to act as assistant and recently moved to a leader.

I am 37 years young and have lived in Simi Valley for all of my life. I have 4 amazing children and have been married for 14 years.

I am a life learner and will be completing my MBA December 5th. I like to share my thirst for knowledge with my den and enjoy watching my den learn and grow.

I enjoy the scouting program and stand behind the core vision to prepare our youth to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders that are guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

Scouting has always been a passion of mine and I have actively been involved since 2013 when my oldest son, Eric entered first grade. I decided to become involved in scouting because I have always believed in the life skills scouting teaches and I find it personally rewarding to help mentor our youth so that they can become future leaders.

I currently work as a surveillance specialist in the law enforcement field and prior to that, I worked as a Police Dispatcher supervisor for a local law enforcement agency.

In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, shooting firearms, and spending time with my two boys Eric, 10 years old and Jason, 7 years old.
